My name is Ashleigh O'Connell and I am the founder and owner of Herts Wellness Centre
I am very proud to be opening our doors and feel blessed to work with a great team of great people who all bring their own special talents, personalities and experiences to us at Herts Wellness Centre
But more importantly who share my vision of providing the best possible care we can within our respective disciplines. However, the road has not been easy. In 2011 I had open heart surgery and prior to that in 2008 and 2009 I lost both my young sons (Nelson and Duncan) to heart disease.
Having been through the very painful grieving process, it has both motivated and inspired me to set up a free support group for people who have suffered loss and want to talk to someone. Someone who is not judgemental but is empathetic and more importantly understands.
I am not a qualified counsellor and will not be offering any treatment pathways but rather a free service that people like myself can come along to, have a chat and feel they have a network of people that they can connect to. I plan to run this service every Tuesday evening from 18:30 for 1 hour.
Please note that we are not offering a counselling service with qualified health care professionals. However, we reserve the right to refer those patients needing specialist therapy on to their GP along with the right to raise any concerns with your GP. I am simply opening my heart and arms to anyone who wishes to be part of a welcoming and friendly group of friends who have lost a loved one.
